The Good Beer Guide
The main criteria for a pub to be listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide is consistently well kept Real Ale. Keighley & Craven Branch members regularly survey and nominate pubs in the Branch Area for the Good Beer Guide. Pubs are selected by democratic process early each year.
If you visit a pub in our area regularly and feel that the real ale on sale is of consistently good quality please let us know via our website or if you are a CAMRA member please complete a National Beer Scoring System Card and send via CAMRA HQ.

Alesman
Alesman is our free quarterly magazine. It contains articles on real ale, pub
and brewery news, reader’s letters and a prize crossword. It
appears in March, June, September and December and can be found in many
real ale outlets in and around our branch area. Contributions are
always welcomed by the editor.

Dales Ale, 3rd edition.
Newly published n Spring 2007, the 4th edition of our popular guide, was fully resurveyed during 2006/2007. (Originally named Real Ale in the Craven Dales, the guide was first published in summer 1997 and won a Camra award in 2000.)
The guide describes real ale outlets in the North Yorkshire part of our Branch area including Skipton, Addingham and additionally covers the area west of Settle (Ingleton, Austwick, Clapham and Bentham). Copies are available mail-order, price £2.00 per copy plus postage and packing. To order your copy by post please ring CAMRA H.Q. on 01727-867201. Local outlets include Reids bookshop, Keighley, Skipton and Settle tourist information centres and several local pubs. You may also be able to pick the guide up at CAMRA beer festivals, or, you can order online HERE.
'Dales Ale' is a must for anyone intending to visit the southern Yorkshire Dales. It not only lists the real ales available in every pub in the area, it also gives opening hours, details of whether and when food is available, a short description of each pub and other useful information. A useful addition to the second edition was a symbol to indicate which pubs welcome dogs. (Updated 6th September 2007)
